KATEGORIEN “UDSTYR TIL LOKALISERING AF ISOLATIONSFEJL (IFLS)” OMFATTER
Når driftssikkerhed og personsikkerhed er højt prioriteret, anvendes et IT-system (isoleret net).
Til dette formå anvendes udstyr til lokalisering af isolationsfejl (IFLS), i kombination med udstyr til isolationsovervågning (IMD) og måletransformere.
Ved en systemjording udført som et IT-system, anvendes udstyr til lokalisering af isolationsfejl, bl.a. for at opnå maksimal driftssikkerhed. IFLS (udstyr til lokalisering af isolationsfejl) er samtidig en standardiseret metode til automatisk fejlfinding på elektriske installationer under drift – altså uden afbrydelse af forsyningen - og kan derfor anvendes uanset om der er tale om en hjælpekreds eller hovedstrømkredse.
Da både person- og driftssikkerhed er af særlig væsentlig betydning ved bl.a. raffinering af olie og gas - både når det drejer sig om offshore og onshore installationer – tilsvarende i forsyninger til medicinske områder gruppe 2 på et sygehus og på hospitaler (fx forsyning til en intensiv stue med mange stikkontakter), og i installationer der kræver en sikker strømforsyning, er det en væsentlig fordel at anvende udstyr til lokalisering af isolationsfejl.
Dette er eksempelvis også tilfældet i datacentre, hvor oppetid er af væsentlig betydning, hvorfor automatisk lokalisering af isolationsfejl er en af de mest optimale løsninger.
Tilsvarende anvendes IFLS-udstyr også til lokalisering af isolationsfejl - jordfejl - i strømforsyning ombord på moderne oceangående skibe, men også til brug for forebyggende vedligeholdelse af kabellage installationer til infrastruktur, og i installationer til mine- og tunneldrift.
